Jonathan D. Mahoney

Jonathan Mahoney is an associate in Ryan Swanson’s Real Estate, Development & Finance Group. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions. In his real estate practice, Jonathan represents both developers and lenders, assisting in the acquisition and disposition of real estate, negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, contribution agreements, loan documents, and leases. Jonathan also maintains a corporate practice, where he advises businesses of all sizes on entity formation and dissolution, joint venture transactions, and general corporate matters.

Before law school, Jonathan received his B.S. from the College of Health and Human Services at the University of Toledo. Jonathan earned his J.D. and M.B.A. from Notre Dame, where his studies focused on Corporate Law, and Corporate Finance and Investments. Before relocating to Seattle, Jonathan practiced real estate and corporate law in Indiana.

Originally from Boston, Jonathan grew up in Toledo, Ohio. After graduating college, he moved to China to teach English before returning stateside to finish his studies. During his first and second summers in law school, he interned for the Honorable James R. Knepp in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the Financial Industry Regulatory ity, respectively. While in law school, he competed in the AAJ National Championship as a part of Notre Dame’s Moot Court Trial Team and earned his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the Mendoza College of Business.

When he’s not working, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, cooking, hiking, traveling, and watching sports.
